Andris was born in
a small town in southern Hungary called Komló. He trusted Christ as his savior at the age of 16. After completing high school and attending two years of technical college, he enrolled in the Word of Life Bible School in Tóalmás, Hungary. God used those years to give him, not only a solid foundation of Biblical knowledge, but also practical experience in ministry. Andris spent his summers very involved in the camp program. He continued his education at Lancaster Bible College. He married his best friend in January 2003. Andris serves as Camp Program Director, as well Director of Admissions for the Bible School.
Angie was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 18. In May of 1990, she had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Hungary helping Word of Life prepare for their first summer of camp. It was a life-changing experience. In 1993, after graduating from Penn State University, she returned to serve in Hungary for a year. Through this experience, God completely broke her heart for the people of Hungary. In 1997, after attending the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY, she joined the full-time ministry team in Hungary. She married her best friend in January 2003. Angie serves in Hungary as Webmaster and as Beni and Lia's mom.
Beni (Benjamin Joel) was born in Telki, Hungary in May of 2006. He enjoys trains, motorcycles, cars, and all other loud forms of transportation. He also likes counting and practicing his ABCs. But what he's best at is butchering both of his parents' respective languages. And it goes without saying that he's the sweetest boy his parents have ever laid eyes on.
Lia (Emilia Mae) was born in Telki, Hungary in April of 2008. She enjoys chewing her brother's toys, her daddy's arm, her mommy's blouse, and anything else she can get her hands on. She's managed to melt our hearts with her big smile. And it goes without saying that she's the sweetest gal her parents have ever laid eyes on.
