Praise and Prayer...
  • Pray for safety in the severe weather that we have been experiencing, especially in the storm forecasted for this evening.
  • Praise the Lord for a great Missions Conference.

How to get involved...
Through prayer: An effective ministry is dependant upon fervent prayer! If you would like to receive our quarterly updates by mail and/or email, either click here to sign up or contact us by e-mail.
Through finances: Financial support can be sent to the Mission Board address in the footer below made payable to Word of Life Fellowship and including "Bartos Support" in the memo section. Online donations can be made by visiting www.wol.org/giving. Under "Optional Information" please specify your donation to "Bartos Support".
Through action: For some hands-on experience and a closer look at the ministry, consider planning a short-term ministry trip. We need conversational language instructors for summer camp, work teams to help with renovation projects, and sports coaches. Come alone or organize a group from your local church.

Dear Friends,
Please pray for us as a major storm warning has just been issued in our area. We have experienced heavy winds over the past two weeks, strong enough to rip some of the clay tiles off of our roof. After having to replace tiles twice, Andris and a friend spent the past few evenings installing reinforcements to the roof tiles. He was just in time, because today the winds are forcasted to be stronger than any of the previous storms. The mayor just put us on Red Alert for a windstorm of 90 to 110 km/hr (56-68 mi/hr). They are also expecting hail along with the heavy winds. We are so thankful to be in our sturdy home, now even sturdier after Andris' work the past few days. Pray for us and for the rest of the staff, that God would protect us through the storm.
Thank you for all who prayed for the Misions Conference. It was an encouraging time for the staff, students and guests, including groups from Romania and the Czech Republic. Our focus was Nigeria and we have pledged funds to help support the production of an evangelical drama called Born Again to a Living Hope in that country. The drama tells the true story of Pablo and Adriana, two young Argentines trapped by the choices that they have made. After wasting much of their young lives in crime to feed their drug habbits, they find themselves at the Word of Life camp in Argentina. There they find the Hope that they have been looking for... forgiveness in Christ. Pablo and Adriana were soon married, but also found that they were both suffering from AIDS. Before her death, Adriana wrote this drama with the hope that her short life could be used to lead others to Christ. Since then the drama has been used as a tool to present the gospel message in countries around the world.
Here in Hungary we have recently begun performing Born Again to a Living Hope, and now have opportunities to present the drama in churches, public schools, and prisons. Pray that we would reach many with the message. And pray that each one of us would remain faithful to the pledge we have made to help the production in Nigeria. Pray that we would be generous with the money God has blessed us with, that we would give sacrificially to reach our goal.
Thank you for your prayers and support!

Dear Friends,
We appreciate all your prayers!! We were safe and sound... snug as bugs in our cozy home... not even one tile came loose.
We got several responses asking to see a recent picture of Beni, so I thought I'd send a few to everyone. He's a cutie pie!!
Thank you for your prayers and support!
Love,
Andris, Angie & Beni
