How to support the ministry

A Year of Blessings...If 2004 was our year of challenges, wrapping up with Angie's tumor surgery and a car accident with a drunk driver, then 2005 was our year of blessings! The year began with Angie's family; we were on furlough and celebrating Christmas and the New Year with family and friends. It was around this time that it became clear to us that God might allow us to build a house of our own. A group of generous supporters combined resources to loan us the money to build. We are truly grateful and overwhelmed! We broke ground in May and we moved into the house in late October. We are still dodging boxes, but hope to have them all emptied and the house organized soon. Thank you for your faithful prayers!!

Our second big blessing came in early autumn. We found out that we were expecting our first child. November is our fourth month of pregnancy and we plan to welcome our little bundle of joy in May. To add to our year of blessings, we had a wonderful 11-day visit from Angie's parents in early October. It was, of course, too short, but nonetheless precious. What we had not counted upon was not yet being in the house for their visit. So we had to stay at the old house and spent most of our days working… carpeting and other finishing touches. They were a huge help and we loved the time with them. Then a week later we had our first long visit from Andris' parents. They came for a week to help us move into the new house. Andris and his dad fenced in a large area in the back yard for the dogs. Andris enjoyed having true Hungarian cooking from his mother all week. They were also a great help and a joy to be with. We are excited to report that we have received 12% of the needed funds to replace our ailing car. Thank you to all who have given. If you would like to contribute, see the information in the left margin. As the year comes very close to an end, we are so thankful for the ways that God has chosen to bless us this year. Psalm 34 promises, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." He has truly done just that. May His blessings on all of us bring glory to His name! Off to a Great Start...The Bible School is off to a great start. The student body represents 16 countries from 4 different continents. It is a blessing to see such a diverse group come together with a common purpose. Last month we observed a special week of prayer, when all chapel services were strictly set aside for group prayer. What a blessing to hear the many languages of the prayers. A few weeks into the school year, Word of Life held its annual International Youth Leaders Conference. Paul Bubar, the founder of the Word of Life Club ministry, was the main speaker. We were pleased to see an unusually high turnout from Hungarian churches, in addition to the groups from Poland, Czech Republic, and even Serbia. Please continue to pray for the students as they commit these two years to studying God's Word. Pray for the faculty and staff as they strive to serve Him faithfully and wisely. For the second year, the Bible School is running an intern program. Most of the 12 interns are graduates of the Bible School desiring more hands-on ministry experience and discipleship. Each is working in a different area of the ministry under one of our staff members as a supervisor. In addition to their ministry work, they are being discipled by another member of our staff. Angie has the honor of discipling a young woman who is a graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. This is her first time in Hungary, and it is a joy getting to know her. Please pray for Angie and Andrea as they build a friendship and sharpen each other in Christ. Pray as well for the other 11 interns, as God works in their lives this year. We thank you for your faithful support of our ministry, whether in prayer or financial support. We are honored to serve Him, and thank you for helping our efforts to be effective. May God bless you richly!
